Gastronomic Festival “Five Stars” at Sintoho restaurant
From August 1 to 31, St. Petersburg will host the Gastronomic Festival “Five Stars.” This large‑scale event brings together more than twenty landmark hotels across the country and is held with the support of the All‑Russian Hotel Award WHERETOTRAVEL HOTEL AWARDS.
Among the participants is the Asian restaurant Sintoho, located at Four Seasons Hotel Lion Palace St. Petersburg. As part of the festival, guests are offered the signature set “The Art of Contemplation: From the Baltic to Tokyo,” created by Chef Badma Aducheev. The set’s concept unfolds a gastronomic journey — from the cool depths of the northern seas to the atmosphere of spring blossoms.
The set features dishes that reinterpret regional and Eastern gastronomic codes:
- Tuna Bigeye Tataki with a trilogy of eggplant — an interpretation of St. Petersburg’s contrasts: seared tuna and eggplant in three textures highlight the multifaceted nature of the flavour combinations.
- Murmansk salmon miso‑teriyaki with wok vegetables — a dialogue between northern local produce and Japanese traditions: the rich teriyaki sauce and delicate miso marinade create a balanced flavour profile.
- Sakura dessert with jasmine–lychee mousse, almond, and crispy crustillant — a light finale to the set, evoking the aesthetics of cherry blossoms and the rhythm of the White Nights: subtle floral and fruity notes convey a sense of refined transience.
The set is complemented by a wine pairing — three tasting servings, individually selected to match each dish.
